He came from Turby, Wales, about 1682, and settled in Haverford, [Montgomery County, Pennsylvania?]

He and his wife came from Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales, in 1682 and settled first in Haverford township, Pennsylvania, removing later to the site of Jenkintown, Montgomery County, which was so named in their honor.
