General Notes: Husband - Alexander Morrow
A native of Ireland, he was born in County Tyrone, and with a sister, who became Mrs. Marshall, of Pittsburgh, was the only member of his father's family to cross the ocean. He was reared and educated in his native land, and after his marriage came with his bride in a sailing vessel to America. Landing at Quebec, he spent six months in Canada, and then came to Pennsylvania, locating in Jefferson Township, Mercer County, where for a while he followed his trade of a distiller. Investing, then, his money in land, he improved a good farm in Jefferson Township, and until his death, at the age of eighty-one years, was engaged in tilling the soil. He and his wife had eight children. Both were reared in the Episcopal faith, but after settling in Jefferson Township united with the Protestant Methodist church, which was conveniently near their home.
General Notes: Wife - Bessie Grier
She and a half-brother named Scott were the only members of her family to come to America.
