General Notes: Husband - William Harvey Harper
He was a glass-cutter by trade.
His education was acquired in the public schools of his native township, and at the age of eighteen years he accepted a clerkship in a store in Hanover township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Later he returned to his grandfather's farm, where he resided for about three years. For many years he was identified with the insurance business, as manager of the insurance department of the Beaver Trust Company.
He was a member of the Masonic Order, being raised a Mason in St. James Lodge, No. 457, Free and Accepted Masons, of Beaver.
