She was a graduate of the Washington Female Seminary, and during the principalship of Mrs. Hanna was an instructor in that institution. Being a member of the Presbyterian Church, she was much interested in the missionary efforts of that body. Miss Grayson resided at and dispensed the hospitalities of the family homestead.
