General Notes: Husband - William Anderson

He came from Ballykelly, Ireland, to America in 1816. He brought his daughter Mary Ann, and they were three weeks traveling from Baltimore to Pittsburgh by wagon. He settled on a farm in Moon township, Allegheny County. In 1839 he moved the family moved to Allegheny City.
He was a democrat, and an active worker in the Washingtonian temperance movement, also in the Associate Reformed (later the United Presbyterian) Church.

He had two children with his first wife. He and his second wife had eight children, of whom William, was the fourth and only son.
