General Notes: Husband - Benjamin N. McCormick
He was educated at the public schools in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He always followed farming with the exception of the period he was in the Civil War. He enlisted in 1863 in Battery G, 7th I. P. B., and was in the United States service eighteen months at Fort Delaware, until the close of the war.
He owned eighty-two acres of land, which he inherited from his father, where he resided. The family were members of Union U. P. Church; politically he was a republican.
