General Notes: Husband - Alexander Martin
He moved from Butler Township, Butler County, to Jefferson Township, about 1826.
The first grist-mill on Thorn Creek, a little below Jefferson Center, was built by Alexander Martin. After it had been in operation several years, it was swept away by a flood. A portion of the old dam could still be seen as late as 1883.
