General Notes: Husband - Jonas Amspoker

He with two brothers came to America from Germany. One brother settled in New York, one in Philadelphia and Jonas in York County, Pennsylvania. About the year 1779 Jonas and his wife came to Washington County, Pennsylvania, and took by tomahawk right a parcel of land, partly in Washington County and partly in what is now Brooke County, West Virginia, containing between 200 and 300 acres.
