General Notes: Husband - John Hart
He first settled a farm in what is now Loyalhanna township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in 1787; it remained in the possession of the family until 1860.
He first enlisted in the Colonial Army before the Revolution, in 1771, becoming a private in Captain Charles Harrison's company of Hunterdon County, New Jersey, Militia. Later, in 1776, 1777 and 1778, he was in the companies of Captains George Cree, Henry Phillips, George Anderson and Robert Quigley, in the 1st Regiment of New Jersey Continentals.
He died March 1, 1829. [ASWP iv, 571]
