He was born near Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and was about five years old when his parents came to Butler county. He was reared on the homestead in Connoquenessing township, and followed farming all his life. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, and in politics, he was a stanch Whig.
HBC 1883, 185 seems to state that this person was the son of "Big Daniel" Graham.
