General Notes: Husband - Michael Gormley
He was born in Tyrone county, Ireland, and came to Butler county, Pennsylvania, with his parents in 1840. After attaining his majority he engaged in farming in Venango county, and later was proprietor of a hotel in Franklin, Pennsylvania, for three years. For over thirty years he was engaged in farming in Venango township, Butler county, and cleared a part of the farm whereon he resided. He and his family were members of the Catholic church, and in politics, he was a stanch Democrat.
