General Notes: Husband - Hugh Leeper
He was an elder in the United Presbyterian church, and a member of Session.
He became the father of fifteen chil-dren, the last three of whom were born on a farm of 250 acres near Hookstown, Pennsylvania, which he purchased in 1836, and upon which he located. Three of his children died in infancy; four of the eight sons who lived to mature life graduated in letters and theology, and one in medicine, the remaining three becoming farmers.
