General Notes: Husband - Hugh Murrin
He was reared on the farm, and received a common school education. In early manhood he located in Marion township, Butler County, PA, on the farm later owned by his nephew, John Z. Murrin. He later spent four years at Emlenton, where he was engaged in the hotel and mercantile business, and then returned to his farm in Marion township. In 1866 he removed to Murrinsville, where he continued farming, and also carried on the hotel business for sixteen years prior to his death. He was a practical member of the Catholic church, and reared his family in that faith. In politics, he was a Democrat, and in early days was captain of a militia company.
