General Notes: Husband - Dr. Frederick Marchand

He was born in Sonvillier, Switzerland, and came to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, probably about 1780. He settled near Adamsburg on the farm later known as the Dry farm at Dry's cross roads. After settling in that locality he discontinued the practice of medicine and turned his attention to agriculture. He died in his fifty-third year. In religion, Reformed, in politics demo-crat.
He and his wife are interred in the cemetery of the Reformed church, near Adamsburg.
