General Notes: Husband - Robert Lowrie

He came to Oil City, Pennsylvania, at an early date of the oil industry, building the third substantial residence on Cottage Hill, and also the first brick in Oil City. Although his ancestry was genuinely Presbyterian, both he and his wife were charter members of the First Baptist Church in Oil City, he being a trustee for many years and assisting in the erection of the fine edifice that was burned in 1918.
