General Notes: Husband - Robert Newill
He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, spending the remainder of his life in farming. He manifested an inclination similar to that of his father on matters of religion, and was very earnest and staunch in support of the cause of the Presbyterian church.
Born in Maryland, he became an early pioneer in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, patenting two hundred and eighty acres of land in Mount Pleasant Township and there residing until his death.
