General Notes: Husband - John Ray
He was brought to America [from Germany] by his parents when he was a small boy. He came to a home in Burrell township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, in 1868, and with the exception of five years spent at Leechburg resided there ever since. He was a farmer throughout his active years, later living retired. He had 120 acres. He served as supervisor of his township, to which office he was elected on the Republican ticket.
