General Notes: Husband - Courtland King

---

He was a native of New Jersey. In 1805 he emigrated with his family west of the mountains, and settled on a farm in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, about seven miles south of the then thriving city of Pittsburgh, where he spent the remainder of his life in the peaceful pursuits of the farm. In religious belief they were Baptists of the strictest sect.
