General Notes: Husband - John Glenn
About the year 1800, the brothers, Joseph, John, James, William and Samuel Glenn, came from Westmoreland County, PA, and located upon lands situated mostly in the northeast corner of Clay and the southwest corner of Washington Townships. Their father had visited this region, and purchased the land, but died just prior to the removal of his sons and widow to the property.
The brothers were settlers of 1803 and the women of the family came in 1808. [TCHBC, 572]
He was a Captain in command of a company of Pennsylvania Volunteers during the War of 1812. He also served as a Justice of the Peace for thirty years.
