General Notes: Husband - Frank Henderson

He removed as a child with his parents from Pennsylvania to Northern Iowa, near McGregor, in 1854. He was engaged in the McGregor Post Office for four years; with the U. S. Express Co. at St. Louis, MO, for five years; and kept a boarding house in Luana, IA, four years. Served in the U. S. Regular Army and was with General Terry in the campaign against the Indians in 1876. His regiment was within hearing distance of the rifles of the last charge of General Custer on the Little Big Horn.
