General Notes: Husband - John Hamilton

When twelve years of age he was taken with his father's family to the Ginger Hill farm, Washington County, Pennsylvania. In adulthood he lived on the paternal farm at Ginger Hill, which he owned. He also added to it the two farms adjoining which constituted the homestead of his grand-uncle, Hon. John Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton's farm, comprising some 400 acres of fertile land, was situated in Carroll township, four miles from Monongahela, and was one of the most beautiful country seats in western Pennsylvania. In political opinion Mr. Hamilton was identified with the Republican party, and in religion was an adherent of the Presbyterian Church.
