He was a physician. He and his wife resided in Philadel­phia, PA, where he had a sanitarium. After the death of his first wife, he moved to Jamestown, New York, where he married again. He practiced medicine in Jamestown for some years, but later was conducting a sanitarium and plantation in Porto Rico.
