Buffalo Twp, Butler Co, PA

He was reared on the family farm, and attended the district school during his boyhood days. He engaged in merchandising at Monroeville for a period, and kept a hotel in Freeport, Pennsylvania, from 1882 until 1887. He then returned to the farm and resided there. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, was a Republican in politics, and was township auditor and supervisor.
