General Notes: Husband - Alexander Ewing Stewart

He was born in Florence, Washington County, Pennsylvania. When he was nineteen years of age he, with his parents, moved to Meigs County, Ohio. Two years later he returned to his native state, and for a time followed the carpenter trade. After his marriage he engaged in farming and dealing in stock. For many years he bought stock in the country districts, drove to the city, and sold them on the Pittsburgh market. He and his wife were members of Montours Church.
