She came to the United States in youth, was married in Pennsylvania, and reared a family of eleven children, five of whom were still living in 1895. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Neyman, in Oakland township, at the remarkable age of ninety-one years. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, and took great interest in church mat­ters.
