He was educated at the Chambersburg Academy, and was graduated at the Pennsylvania College, Gettysburg, in 1891. He studied law with Brewer & Gehr, and was admitted to the Franklin County Bar, Feb. 23, 1893. He was a member of the firm of Gehr & Gehr.
