General Notes: Husband - John Robinson

He came a single man to Indiana County, Pennsylvania, to the Robinson homestead, in 1787, and made the first improvement. In the next spring he brought his wife and a few years later his father arrived. His wife Mary, on their arrival, bent down to the ground a white oak in front of their cabin and cut off the top. This tree was still standing in 1880 and enjoying a healthy growth.
