General Notes: Husband - James Greenlee

He was said to have been a son of Alexander Greenlee. The date of James Greenlee's emigration to America is not known but his name appears as early as 1738 on the tax list of Hanover Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where he spent the remainder of his days. In his will dated March 18, 1772, he refers to his wife, but not by name, to his oldest son William Greenlee, his son Alexander Greenlee, his son James Greenlee, his daughter Mary Greenlee, to his son William's oldest son James Greenlee, and to his son Robert Greenlee, whom he appointed his sole executor. The appraisal of the estate was made in October, 1778.
