General Notes: Husband - Alexander H. Anderson


He was born in Hopewell township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. [GPHBC, 702]

He remained at home until 1860, when he bought and removed to a farm in Darlington township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, containing 120 acres. He held the positions of school director and trustee of Greersburg Academy. He was a member of the Presbyterian church; politically a Republican.

In 1858 he bought what was later known as the Ira Duncan farm in Darlington township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and there lived until his death. For a time he conducted general farming operations, in his later years engaging in the dairy business with good success. For many years he was an elder of the Presbyterian Church, to which both he and his wife belonged.
