General Notes: Husband - Robert Galloway

A native of the Emerald Isle, he immigrated to the United States about 1772 and settled near New Salem, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. He was a mill-wright by trade, built a mill at New Salem and afterwards removed to Washington township, Fayette County, where he built what was known as "Galloway's mill," near Fayette City. He was a presbyterian and a working democrat.

He and his wife had nine children, seven of whom lived to maturity.
