General Notes: Husband - Peter Galley
He emigrated to America from Germany about the year 1770, and served as a drummer during the Revolutionary war. He settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
He served in the Revolutionary War, as a private in the Second Continental Line, under Col. Walter Stewart.
He joined the Revolutionary army as a musician and died soon after enlistment. After two years his widow married again and his son, Philip, was taken in charge by the boy's uncle, Philip Stern; he was taught weaving and the grafting of trees.
