General Notes: Husband - Milo Ellsworth Smith
He was born on the old William Minteer homestead in West Franklin township, Armstrong County, PA, in which township he always resided. He received a common school education, and after he entered upon life's activities was occupied in farming. He owned and occupied a farm of 180 acres beginning in 1900. Though he gave his work all the care and attention it needed to make it profitable, he did not neglected the duties of citizenship, and served as supervisor, overseer of the poor, school director and school treasurer of his township. He was a Republican on political questions.
