General Notes: Husband - William Brown Graham

He was born in Fairfield township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and received his education in local schools and at the Independent Academy. In early manhood he assisted his step-father on the homestead, and later lived on a farm of one hundred and fifty acres which he inherited from his mother, who built the spacious residence, the barn and the other various outbuildings. He made a specialty of the raising of short-horned Durham cattle.
In politics Mr. Graham was a strict Republican.
He was affiliated with Ligonier Lodge, No. 331, Free and Accepted Masons, in which he was an active worker, serving as trustee and holding the rank of past master. He attained the thirty-second degree in Pennsylvania Consistory, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, of Pittsburgh, and was associated with Syria Temple, Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, also of Pittsburgh.
For years he served as ruling elder in Fairfield Presbyterian Church, and was at one time the oldest elder in the session in point of service and one of the youngest in years. He was sent by the Blairsville Presbytery as a delegate to the State Synod when that body convened at Wilkinsburg in 1911, and he was also a representative at the general assembly of the Presbyterian church which met at Atlantic City in 1912.
