General Notes: Husband - 'Squire William Graham


He was a farmer, cultivating and improving the extensive land purchase of his father. He also owned a flour-mill and a distillery, and erected the first stone building in that section. He was for many years a justice of the peace, and was known far and wide as 'Squire Graham. He participated in the Revolutionary war, being a captain in the Continental army.
He was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church, in which he held the positions of elder and trustee. He voted with the Whig party.
