He was educated in the public schools, in Mount Pleasant Academy preparing himself for entrance at Tarkio College, Missouri, whence he was graduated in 1894. Returning to the state of his birth he was for nine years a school teacher in Mount Pleasant, McKeesport, and Pittsburgh, then registering as a student at law in the office of James H. Beal. In March, 1902, Mr. Graham was admitted to the bar, and began a general practice, being attorney for the McKeesport school district and several corporations having their seat in that locality. He was a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association. He was a member of Lodge, Chapter and Commandery in the Masonic Order.
