General Notes: Husband - William King Armstrong
He received his schooling in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and in Summit County, Ohio, and at twenty-eight years of age started for himself on a rented farm. In 1862 he bought his own farm at orphans' court sale, and brought it into fine condition.
His family were members of the Presbyterian Church. He was a republican, but later became a prohibitionist.
