General Notes: Husband - Seth Fruit


He obtained his education at the common schools, and spent his younger days at home. In 1853 he went to California, where he spent four years farming, mining, etc. After his marriage, they located in Clarksville and engaged in mercantile business. He was postmaster of Clarksville from 1874 to 1885. He filled nearly all the local offices in the borough of Clarksville. Politically he was a Republican. [HMC 1888, 906]
