General Notes: Husband - Thomas Pollock
He and his four brothers, with their widowed mother, settled in the spring of 1800 in Waterford township, Erie County, Pennsylvania. Three of them, Adam, James and Robert, remained in Erie County, but he and William moved to what is now Clarion County in 1806. There he first made a purchase of one hundred and twenty-three acres, adding fifty acres later, and a third purchase of fifty-three acres. These he cleared and improved, erecting a stone house where the wagon sheds would later stand, and cultivating his acres until his death. He was an active Whig in politics and an ardent admirer of Henry Clay. Both he and his wife were members of the Presbyterian church.
