General Notes: Husband - Samuel Gordon
He was reared at home and educated in the local schools. After marriage, he and his wife located on his paternal homestead, where they remained until 1839, when they purchased a farm of eighty acres in Lackawannock Township, Mercer County, PA, to which they subsequently added thirty-six acres, where he spent his remaining days. Politically he was a Republican. He and his wife were members of Unity Church. [HMC 1888, 882]
