General Notes: Husband - Jacob G. Keefer

After marriage, he and his wife were among the early settlers of Franklin, PA, where they made their home for some time. He was a carpenter-builder by trade. During 1850-1851, he served as Venango County Treasurer. After 1856 he no longer appears on the Franklin Tax Assessment List, having moved to Clarion County, and then to Perry Township, Armstrong County.

General Notes: Wife - Harriet Gordon

She lived to be 95 years old, and was a helpless invalid the last four years of her life. Her daughter-in-law, (George's wife) cared for her like a child. Harriet was very religious and often sang hymns and quoted scripture, while she lay in bed. Her favorite hymn was "Whiter Than Snow".
