General Notes: Husband - Mahlon Fretz

His principal occupation was that of farmer, and was otherwise a skillful and useful man. He also had a military tendency, and was Captain of a company of militia for some time. He never belonged to any church, but was active in the building of the New Mennonite church at Deep Run, of which his wife was a member. In 1854 he and his wife separated, and were divorced in 1872.
