General Notes: Husband - Hugh Gilmore


He was about three years of age when brought by his parents from Ireland, the family locat­ing east of the mountains of Pennsylvania. He grew to maturity in the East and engaged in farming and carpet weaving. He was a young man when he followed his two broth­ers to Butler County, Pennsylvania, where he was shortly after married.

He was a native of Ireland, who settled in what is now Marion township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, in 1796.
