General Notes: Husband - William Goehring
He was reared a farmer, and always pursued that occupation, never moving from the farm on which he was born. He was diligent and successful in business; a man of good intelligence, honest and upright in all his dealings; much respected and honored by his fellow-citizens. He was a Republican in politics but never aspired to hold office. In religion, he was a life-long member of the English Lutheran Church.
