General Notes: Husband - Samuel McGuire


He settled near the mouth of the McGuire Run, above Tidioute, Warren County, PA, on the Allegheny River. Samuel and Charity McGuire had a family of two sons and six daughters.

He was of Irish descent, and was born in Huntington County, Pennsylvania. In 1808 he came to Deerfield, Warren County, and settled on the John Keller tract, of which he owned two hundred and fifty acres. He was married the same year and they made their permanent home on this tract. They had a family of ten children, all of whom grew to be men and women, and were all married. Of their family five had passed away before 1887.
