General Notes: Husband - David S. Fox

East Huntingdon Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA

Born on a farm near Middle Church, Mount Pleasant township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, David S. Fox received his education at the local district schools, and upon completing his studies at these institutions took up the occupation of farming, which he continued uninterruptedly up to the time that he gave up all active work. He was highly successful in this occupation and was known as a progressive and prosperous farmer, and an authority on agricultural questions throughout the region. He purchased a farm of ninety-five acres, but then afterwards reduced his property in a material degree. A portion of his holdings were valuable coal lands, which he disposed of to the coal interests of the region. Mr. Fox held a number of local offices, including that of supervisor for one term. He was a Republican in politics. His only sister became the wife of the Rev. Peter Loucks, a minister of the Church of God and Mr. Fox was himself a member of this church at Alverton, and later joined that of the same denomination at Mount Pleasant.
In 1918 he was living retired at Alverton, East Huntingdon township, on his farm which was situated one mile south of Mount Pleasant.

He and his wife had a family of eleven children.
