General Notes: Husband - David Foster
Mansfield, Allegheny Co, PA
He was born in Washington County, Pennsylvania, and came with his parents to Allegheny County in 1832. He was educated at the common schools and reared on a farm. At the age of fifteen he commenced to learn the carpenter's trade, which he followed for forty years.
He was a carpenter by trade, which he followed until 1850, when he purchased a farm and turned his attention to agriculture. In 1887 he sold his entire real estate, and retired from active business.
