Wesley B. Gilger.
Wesley B. Gilger, 65 years old, a well known and prosperous farmer of Rockland and a veteran oil man, died at his home Thursday shortly after midnight. Mr. Gilger was born in Clarion county. After being engaged in the oil business along Oil creek, he located on a farm near Davis Corners in Rockland township. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edward White, one sister, Mrs. A. D. Smith, of Franklin and four brothers in the west. Mr. Gilger was held in high esteem by all who knew him and his death is generally regretted.
The funeral will be held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and the remains will be laid to rest in the Rockland cemetery.

A number of friends and neighbors met Sunday at the home of Mrs. Nannie Gilger, to help her and her brother, D. R. Lusher, celebrate their birthdays. Mrs. Gilger is in her 79th year, while Mr. Lusher is 77 years young. A picnic dinner was served at noon. Those present were: Mary Lusher, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Lusher, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Lusher, Miles Lusher and Mary Allison, Mrs. Etta Ginter, Dorothy Lusher and Bonnie Jean Bell.
