General Notes: Husband - Reuben Osmer
He brought his family to America in 1832. They settled in Center County, Pennsylvania, Mr. Osmer renting land until he could afford to purchase a farm of his own. He was a man of sterling character and deep religious convictions, for many years an active member of the Methodist Church, but during his later life associated with the United Brethren. [CAB, 440]
They resided in Harrisburg for a time before settling in Centre County. [HP, 487]
