General Notes: Husband - George B. Turner
He grew to manhood in his na-tive township. In April, 1873, he purchased the Richard Allen farm, in Concord township, consisting of 115 acres, on which he resided until June, 1893. At that time he removed to West Sunbury, purchased the George Mechling property, and was carrying on a meat market in that borough. He continued to own his farm in Concord township, and was one of the prosperous business men of the community. The family was connected with the Presbyterian church, in which Mr. Turner filled the office of trustee. Politically, he was a Republican, and held every office in his town-ship from justice of the peace to auditor.
