General Notes: Husband - Harry W. Whitesell

He was born at Perrysville, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he received a common school education. At an early age he was employed by the Keir Brothers at their fire-brick plant at Salina, and in 1889 was promoted to the position of superintendent. The output at that time was eight thousand bricks daily. The capacity later rose to thirty thousand and beyond. The force of men employed was one hundred and fifteen. He held the office of school director.
