General Notes: Husband - Jackson McMillen Van Dyke
First name "James" [HBC 1909, 1466]
He spent his boyhood days on the farm and helped to clear it. He attended the old schoolhouse which then stood in his home district. He lived at home until his marriage, and always followed farming. He was a progressive citi-zen and took an earnest interest in all that pertained to the welfare of the com-munity and public improvements. In political affiliation he was a Republican, and served as school director and as road su-pervisor. [HBC 1909, 1373]
